Gisborne blends a village centre with parks, reserves and easy access to the Macedon Ranges. The Council township guide (opens in a new tab) is a sensible first stop for local facilities, rail and reserve context.

The Gisborne Botanic Gardens (opens in a new tab) are reached on foot over Jacksons Creek, with picnic and toilet facilities in adjacent parklands. Follow the current directions for dogs and parking.

For a more natural walk, Mount Gisborne Reserve (opens in a new tab) has an informal track to the summit. Some areas are environmentally sensitive, so stay on marked routes and observe dog-prohibited areas.

UL Daly Nature Reserve is on Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung Country (opens in a new tab). Council asks visitors to keep to mulched trails and reserve signage to protect the natural features. This is a draft guide and current notices take priority.
